The predecessor of China Gansu International Economic and Technical Cooperation Co., Ltd. was China Gansu International Economic and Technical Cooperation Corporation, which was approved by the State Council in October 1984 by the Gansu Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation. In August 2010, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Gansu Provincial Government approved the merger and reorganization of China Gansu International Economic and Technological Cooperation Corporation by Gansu Construction Investment Group Corporation.
