Sintered Bearing
A self-lubricating sintered bearing is a porous metal component made of bronze, iron or other special materials, and impregnated with a lubricating oil. The oil contained within the pores of the bearing constantly provides lubrication between the bearing and the shaft, so the system requires no external lubricant. Self-lubricating sintered bearings provide the following: ■ Reliability: No risk of seizure, working thousands of hours without wear. ■ Economy: No grease nipples, no post-installation maintenance. ■ Performance: They work under loads of up to 10 MPa and speeds of up to 5 m/s.
