Magnetic Powder
In standard MP tape, the magnetic powder accounts for roughly 40% of the volume of the magnetic layer. In addition to the metal powder, the magnetic layer contains carbon black, abrasive particles of Al2 O 3, dispersants, and lubricants, all held in a plastic binder system.
