Spring Lock Washer
Spring lock washers come in a trapezoidal shape which prevents a fastener from loosening. When this washer is compressed to a load, it flattens and twists so that it can minimize the spring rate of the joint that is bolted. Since the washer contains sharp edges, they can dig into the mounting surface and nut to stop the counter-clockwise movement.
